summer in spain.
To make the most of my last gap year, I had booked an interrail pass for a month. Unfortunately it was not as easy as they made it out to be. For France and Spain you had to either book well in advance and pay extra, or wait in a long queue at the trainstation. I first visited Zurich, Genoa and Nimes, each for just one night. Then I had to wait in line at the trainstation to book a ticket for noon, I waited for 5 hours!
Finally, I arrived in Barcelona! I visited the aquarium, parc de la Ciutadella and ofcourse the beach. I met three amazing girls at the hostel and we hungout for a couple days before I took the train to Madrid.
In Madrid I met up with my best friend, she was also interrailing and had a week free before meeting her other friends. We had an amazing time in Madrid, we partied every night and hungout at the park all day. We met two guys and occasionally hungout with them and their friends as well. After a week, my best friend left to enjoy the rest of the vacation with some other friends, and I stayed with one of the guys for a few more days, we really enjoyed spending time together and after only a day being back in Barcelona, they came too. I was happy not to be alone until my friends arrived and their host from Couchsurfing was even kind enough to let me stay with them for one night. We were sad to say goodbye soon after my friends had arrived.
The rest of my time in Barcelona, we visited the typical sights, baked in the sun and partied some more. We even went diving, kayaking and cliffjumping. We had so much fun and already looked forward to our next vacation together.
